Request: how do we get copies of the letters Mitch Bainwol sent to the Commerce and Judiciary committees of Congress last month?

According to the Union Leader in New Hampshire, Mitch Bainwol of the RIAA sent letters to the Commerce and Judiciary Committees supposedly explaining the supposed cessation of lawsuits.

We need to get our hands on those letters. If anyone can get copies it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

-R.B.

[PS. Thanks to long-time reader derivative for pointing this out.]

It wouldn't hurt to request copies from the chairmen of the respective congressional committees. Try phoning their offices first. Here is the contact information:

Washington, D.C. 20515

Unfortunately, FOIA doesn't apply to Congress, so I don't think there's any way to force the letters' release. Interestingly, a number of top House Republicans support subjecting Congress to FOIA. I wonder if all the Obama fans applauding his commitment to "transparency" will ask the Democrats who run Congress for similar commitments.

I couldn't find the post about the mediasentry safe net hearing in NC on December 10th, so I'm posting this here. If you are interested, you can write to

1631 Midtown Place
Ste. 104
Raleigh, NC 27609

And request a copy of 2008-PPS-039. Shannon Hunt informed me via email that this is how someone can request a copy of what happened with that grievance meeting that "the dentist" was supposed to be in.
