Naive Question:
Why?

What is so secret about the "chain of title" copyright documents that they must be treated like the codes for the launching of Americas A-bombs?

Rethorical Questions:
Could it be those "chain of title" informations must be kept secret because their disclosure would possibly show that the allegations from the State Attorneys(me not sure about correct english title!) regarding that RIAA-Members are doing price fixing with each other and those "cartel like behaviour" accusations are in fact soemwhat true?

Why should the world not know that RIAA-"well-known and respected record company A has sold the copying and ditributing rights of Artist X to RIAA-"well-known and respected record company" B?
