Announcement: I have formed my own firm, Ray Beckerman, P.C.

I am pleased to announce that I have formed my own law firm, Ray Beckerman, P.C., where I will continue my practice representing and advising small and medium sized businesses and individuals.

My good friend Ty Rogers, who has been working with me for most of the last 12 years, and who has been working on the RIAA cases since we first started with them in 2005, will continue with Vandenberg & Feliu, LLP.

Thanks.

Best regards.

Ray

Great news, Ray! This will make you easier to find for all those people needing excellent advice on how to handle the media corps :) You've done the entire internet a service by letting us all know where we stand in regards to the law. EFF tries, but somehow we never get the detailed info from them that you provide :) You've made what could best be described as a bleak situation clearer.

Best of luck with the new venture, Ray!

I'm sure the RIAA will continue supplying you with customers, although I imagine you'd rather have a more normal set of cases to handle.

Hm, what me misses on your PC is the page where you mention your public GPG/open PGP Key so that future would-be clients (or others) can communicate securely despite wiretapping praying eyes via mail with you even at a stage when their communication would not be already (at least formal legally) protected under attorney/client priviledge from such an invasion.

Beside that, best wishes, good luck and me hopes you have fun now as a "PC" (and I assumed -don't ask me how I came to that assumption though- you were using a "MAC") :-P

Heh, does this mean you'll be changing your Slashdot handle to NewYorkCityLawyer now?

Best of luck!

No, I continue to be a "country lawyer" who somehow wound up in the Big City.

Hi Ray, does this mean the end of the blog? I hope not. Good Luck, and always remain a Country Lawyer, one willing to defend the common people. Thanks for all the help. RK

No WAY.

It just means I also have a web site to work with, which gives me more flexibility in storing and presenting resources that are helpful to legal practitioners.

E.g., my first foray into that department is to put up a page with the quotes from judges.
