Funds are desparately needed for the Expert Witness Defense Fund administered by the Free Software Foundation.

This fund exists for the purpose of aiding victims of the RIAA's litigation campaign by helping to pay for technical experts and consultants. The fund provided assistance in UMG v. Lindor, where the excellent expert witness report of Prof. Johan Pouwelse was produced, and in Capitol Records v. Thomas, where the excellent expert witness report of Prof. Yongdae Kim was produced.

Maybe some of the Members of Congress, who so willingly hold their hands out for RIAA money, would consider giving some of it to the fund. It seems that they are more than willing to accept the $ Millions in lobbying money in exchange for bought legislation to represent the RIAA, as opposed to representing the constituents they were elected by.
